報告提要:Current debates surrounding the topic of world literature are argued from ethical standpoints that are rarely fully articulated. J. W. von Goethe’s original conception of world literature as an opening to the coming of the other became lost almost from the moment he uttered it in 1827, turned into mere intellectual commerce by Marx and into anthologies and systems by others. What is the ethics of world literature, and what form of consolation can it provide?
